You can take the course at your own time and pace, but access is usually capped at 8 weeks
unless specified otherwise. Here are some tips to completing your course successfully.
Plan Your Learning Schedule
If you need more than the given duration to complete the course, get in touch with us to apply for an extension. An admin fee may be required to extend your course access.
Here are few tips to pace yourself and complete in time:
- Do not set unrealistic deadlines for yourself. Give yourself enough time, just in case you meet unexpected delays along the way.
- Do not leave everything to the last minute. Many participants miss their deadline to complete because they underestimate the topics and miscalculate the time needed to complete.
- You don’t have to do everything at one go, especially if you only have 1 day in the whole of 8 weeks to do so. Instead, login from your mobile device and save your login details on it. Access your course while travelling or waiting. The idea is to do bits of it frequently. For instance, learning 30 mins on the train to work and 30 mins back from work and you would have already completed 1 hour of learning for that day. This is far more achievable then setting aside just 1 day and risking something happening on that day.
- Start what you finish. Taking up a course may feel exciting at the beginning, but if you don’t put your mind to it, completing it can be a real pain. So gear yourself from the start. Make sure you set yourself up to complete and help yourself by planning and making good daily decisions to help you get through your course.
You will learn by watching interactive videos, reading articles and doing the learning activities. Pay special attention to the key points displayed from time to time on the videos and reading articles.
Each segment is usually followed by a short quiz to help you recap and reinforce the learning points. The quizzes are not scored, but you are given an unlimited number of tries. We’ll tell you if you got the question right and explain to you again if you didn’t.
Upon completing the topics and fulfilling the time requirement for each topic, the topic will then be marked as complete. Once a topic is marked as complete, you can proceed to the next one.
At the end of each course, you will be required to take a test before you are given a certificate or statement of completion. Tests are scored and you are given limited attempts. If you exhaust the number of given attempts you may not be awarded a certificate.
Upon successful completion of your course and test, you’ll receive a digital certificate with your details on it.
